#211: The Trossachs (pg 56) (pg 43 in 2nd Ed)

Stirling Castle, located in the area of The Trossachs "Where the Lowlands Meet the Highlands" is where I celebrated visiting Country #43.

Stirling Castle has historically been one of Scotland's most important fortresses.  It was here that Mary, Queen of Scots came to be kept safe from Henry VIII.  Stirling Castle is an incredibly beautiful, remarkably restored castle, rich in history and character and is one of the best examples of Renaissance architecture in Scotland.

After visiting the Castle, it's worth it to stop at one of the Lochs, have a picnic lunch or just relax and enjoy the calming scenery this area has to offer.

Verdict:  Hmmm....... I'm wavering on this one because Stirling Castle was pretty awesome to see and the area around it was beautiful.  It's absolutely worth seeing.  But it's really not a "must do" before you die.
Cost:  15 pounds for Adults ages 16-59
9 pounds for children ages 5-15
12 pounds for those Age 60 and over
