Breakfast is served at our B and B, Villa Monica.
Verdict: I loved Sorrento, situated at the Northern end of the Amalfi Coast. It actually wasn't so much Sorrento itself that I loved so much as I loved the location of this town. In easy day trips, you can reach various Amalfi Coast towns as well as Pompeii, Herculaneum, Mt. Vesuvius and more. The downtown area is relatively large (if you go in December, it's decked out in Christmas decorations - we got a taste of it as we were there in November and setting up for it; I can only imagine how beautiful and magical it must look when completed and all lit up!) with lots of restaurants and shops and situated along the water (it's a popular cruise stop). You don't HAVE to go to Sorrento before you die. BUT you do have to go to the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii, so you may as well stay here as a home base when you do!
