August 19, 2005: The gorgeous gounds of Drottningholm Palace in Stockholm, Sweden
We (my husband Dave, brother Ryan, Sister-in-law Carrie and Cousin John and I) enjoyed a nice lunch on the grounds. 
Check this out! Exploring the grounds is just amazing. You never know what you might come across!
In addition to exploring the grounds and having lunch, we paid to go inside. The Royal Family actually lives here (and we were lucky enough to actually see one of the daughters drive away as we were walking up the driveway, which was pretty cool), but they only occupy part of the palace and the rest of it is open for self-guided tours. Well worth the money!
Verdict: I absolutely loved Drottningholm - inside and outside. It's beautiful and one of my favorite parts of Sweden that I've seen. But if you go, go in the summer time, when the weather is nice so that you can actually enjoy the grounds of the Palace!
