#28: Stockholm Archipelago

Here is my first (and hopefully only!) post without pictures. In the pre-digital era (which for us was slightly longer than others, since it took us a couple years to hop on the bandwagon after digital cameras came out!), we were rather sparing with our precious, limited film while traveling. Thus, although we had a fabulous time taking a day-time cruise in Stockholm's Archipelago in August, 2005, we don't have any pictures of it! A travesty! What were we thinking??

But, alas, it must be documented that I did in fact see and experience the Archipelago, made of ~24,000 islands that make up a 150-mile stretch off the easter coast of Sweden. Most of the islands are uninhabited, but there are ~1000 of the islands where people do live, which by the way, I find rather fascinating!

Verdict: If you find yourself in Sweden, this is absolutely one of Stockholm's main attractions, as long as you are there during the summer!
